Submit your proposal today! Submission deadline: 8/18. Conference is October 9&10 in Wenatchee!

The WSRO Board of Directors is excited to open the Call for Presenters for the Fall 2017 WSRO Conference, which will be held in Wenatchee, the Apple Capital of the World, on October 9th and 10th.

WSRO conferences are intended to address the issues, challenges, and interests of a broad spectrum of transportation professionals in the Pacific Northwest. Ideally, the 50-minute sessions provide current, directly applicable information and strategies that conference attendees, which will include transportation demand management specialists, general transportation planners, and employee transportation coordinators (ETCs), can take back to their workplace.

The theme for the Fall 2017 Conference will focus on the benefits of smart trips, whether to the individual, the employer, or the community. However, not all presentations must adhere to this theme. We're always looking for presentations on the following topics:

Transportation Demand Management (TDM) program and policy implementers track
- Health and TDM
- Innovative technologies
- Youth/school programs
- TDM's evolving role in planning and policy development
- What’s new and next steps for the Washington State Commute Trip Reduction program
- Tracking TDM program success
- Promoting/Marketing vanpools
- Incentives & Recognition

Employee Transportation Coordinator (ETC) track
- Successful programs with a limited budget
- Marketing to your audience
- Gaining management support
- Energizing employer programs
- Recognition/incentive programs
- Supporting strategies (i.e. parking management, worksite amenities, etc.)

Do any of these topics speak to you? Or maybe one of them gives you another idea? By all means, submit your proposal! We encourage you to submit as many proposals as you like! And if you think a colleague/peer/coworker would make a great presenter, please share this survey with them.
